It was a nice excursion, though I got a sleepy vibe from Greenwich. Once we disembarked from the boat, I was more keen on getting some food before visiting the Observatory. On the way to finding a good restaurant, we passed by a small market with items like the ones I saw at Camden. It took a lot of restraint not to buy anything.
I finally had fish and chips! However the serving size was huge so towards the end of the meal I was feeling bloated, and the food lost its novelty.
The Royal Observatory was a nice change from all the places that we've been to that were dedicated to art. It was a nice reminder of all the scientific advancements and discoveries that people have been capable of--the whole system of timekeeping and lines of longitude were pretty amazing. I'm glad this trip has given me a very positive view on the achievements of humans in art and science; humankind's existence is barely a blip on the time span of life on Earth, but we are creative and innovative.
