Afternoon tea @ National Cafe(Jan.16)

Delightful.
I arrived a little late since I lingered at Kensington Gardens longer than planned. I looked forward to having afternoon tea here and seeing how it would compare to that of the Village Tea Room in New Paltz. I ordered the Cream Tea and shared the finger food on the Afternoon Tea that Celine got. The scones were very fluffy and delicious with jammy goodness. And butter, oh the scoops of butter. I'm wondering if there was more baking powder in the scone recipe to reach that level of moist softness. The sandwiches were simple, yet surprisingly filling. On the bottom tier were three pastries that were an absolute joy to eat. Though to be honest, I think anything with such lovely presentation is a joy to eat. Good design stimulates my appetite, I could say.
Amidst the tasty food there was tasty conversation and some good laughter. I shall remember our time here and this trip most fondly.
